Administrative Assistant

Jennifer Wile Jacobs joined us in September 2007 as the administrative assistant to the Pastor. She grew up in Bolton, Massachusetts and spent summers on Cape Cod. While attending Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, she met and married her husband, Fred Jacobs. After graduation with a BFA in Textile Design, they lived for three years in North Truro but finally settled in Clinton, where they have been for thirty years, to be near family and raise two children. Jennifer has taught workshops in off loom weaving and a variety of fiber arts. She also does sewing and design work including apparel and home decorating projects for private clients on Cape Cod, New York City and the local area. An interest in computer graphic design has recently brought her to use her design skills in website construction.

Jennifer manages the office at the United Church where her duties include producing the bulletin each week, a newsletter every month and creating and maintaining the website. She can be reached at the church office Monday through Friday 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at 978-365-9232 or at jwj210@clintonunitedchurch.org.

Musician

Paul Buono's musical versatility and creativity are a perfect match for our church. After playing for our worship services on numerous occasions throughout 2007, we formally invited Paul to become our church musician in October 2007. Paul, who grew up in the Worcester area and currently resides in Oxford, MA, earned a Bachelor's of Music degree in Jazz Performance (piano) from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master's degree in Jazz Composition from the Aaron Copland School of Music in Queens, New York. His compositions have been performed and recorded by the UMass Marimba Ensemble, recording artist Abigail Riccards, and Paul's own groups. Paul has impressive musical credentials. He received a Downbeat Award (Downbeat Magazine) for his playing in the UMass Jazz Ensemble I. While living in New York City, Paul performed with jazz greats Wynton Marsalis, Regina Carter, Antonio Hart, and Sir Roland Hanna. Multitalented Paul has been involved in many musical theatre productions and has also served as musical director for Princess and Cunard cruise lines.

He currently works as a freelance musician, playing regularly with various groups in Worcester, Boston, and New York-all this while attending law school. Paul has studied locally with jazz greats Allan Mueller and Dick Odgren and with New York jazzmen Bruce Barth, Dave Berkman, and Jim Beard. His own teaching experience includes the Dudley-Charlton school district; and he is presently a faculty member of the Clark University Music Department.
